Our garden designs are a fully bespoke service, tailored to our clients' needs, which can vary greatly depending upon many factors. One big advantage of choosing to have your garden designed by Harrison Gardens, is that we take out the need to find an appropriate contractor, or source materials, plants and gardeners - we are also ready to take on the supply and build of the project ourselves.
We have a 3 stage process in place, to help our clients get the most from this service.
1 - Consultation
This is a free , initial visit to your garden to talk through with you what it is you are looking for, any preferences or requirements you may have. We'll go through what styles you like, regarding both materials and planting and any particular materials you'd prefer. Essentially, this is a good opportunity for us to establish an understanding whilst getting some important information at the same time.
2 - Concept Plan
If you choose to go with Harrison Gardens after the initial consultation, this is the stage where the process 'formally' begins. We will draw up a contract, with prices quoted for our work, tailored to your garden and design requirements (for example, whether you'd prefer Computer Aided Drawings (CAD), hand drawn designs, or both). After this is agreed, we'll conduct a full, in-depth site survey (site restrictions, drainage considerations, ground levels/topography, aspect, soil type, views, obstacles and points of interest), take detailed photographs and draw up our concept plan. This is based on our discussions, along with site specific details. We'll present to you a site analysis, a layout plan and 3D drawings at this stage.
3 - Detailed Master Plan
We now produce a master plan (both CAD and hand drawn options available), refined and specific to any budget considerations, for example in regards to material choices. Structural drawings are provided if necessary and may be supplemented by 3D and/or elevation drawings and mood boards, depending upon what was agreed upon during the initial post-consultation stage. We also provide detailed planting plans, which include numbers, sizes, positions and spread of plants and trees.
